About Dr. Smita Jobanputra M.D., F.A.C.O.G

Smita Jobanputra, MD, FACOG, is a highly skilled women’s health specialist and an integral member of the team at Femcare OB-GYN. Through her work serving the community of  Bolingbrook, Illinois  and greater Chicagoland area, Dr. Jobanputra strives to build lasting relationships with the women in her care and enjoys watching them thrive as they move through the stages of life. 

In terms of her educational background, she earned her medical degree from the Government Medical College Nagpur (Govt Medical College, Nagpur) in India. Upon arriving in the United States, Dr. Jobanputra completed residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago and Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk.

Dr. Jobanputra continues to seek out opportunities to expand her skills and knowledge, as evidenced by her board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). She then completed additional training to become a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).

Patients love working with Dr. Jobanputra because she takes the time to truly listen to their concerns and shape treatment plans accordingly. Patient education is always part of the process, and women are encouraged to take an active role in shaping and maintaining their health and wellness.

The obstetrics side of Dr. Jobanputra’s practice allows her to assist mothers in welcoming their children into the world. This honor makes her work deeply rewarding.
